First let’s make one thing clear, a delicious bacon egg and cheese sandwich is great for any meal. This Sandwich is absolutely my husbands favorite, which makes it pretty easy on nights that we come in late and are starving. About a year ago, we had a team from Japan come to our church, and two of the team members stayed with us in our home. It was such a joy to have them with us. One of the things they wanted was to eat what we liked, so that they could experience American Southern food. So the first morning they woke up in our home, I served them this sandwich and they loved it. I will be sure to tell you all about the food they brought from Japan for us to taste in a later post, very interesting to say the least. The ingredients are pretty important, so if you can’t find the specifics in your grocery store, just do your best to come close by picking your favorite brand of the item listed.

Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich

Yield: 1


  • 2 slices of Sarah Lee artisanal bread, toasted or ciabatta roll sliced and toasted
  • Dukes mayonnaise (spread on each slice of bread)
  • 1 egg fried medium
  • 4 slices of cooked, crispy bacon
  • 1 slice of provolone, muenster or cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Build your sandwich, cut in half and serve.
